Breweries in Denver, Colorado

Denver - Southeast

Bull and Bush

Bull and Bush

An authentic English-style brew pub and whiskey bar near Cherry Creek, the Bull & Bush has been in business for over 40 years and is a must-see Denver attraction. Known as “The Granddaddy of Denver Watering Holes,” this establishment has a warm, inviting, and lively atmosphere, along with great food and great beer. They offer a variety of beer styles, mostly English and German, yielding excellent-quality pale ales, IPAs, stouts, and lagers. Their beer menu changes often throughout the year, so you can expect to try new beers every time you stop in.
Copper Kettle Brewing Company

Copper Kettle Brewing Company

This neighborhood-style brewery made an immediate impression upon opening in 2011, earning a Gold Medal at GABF within five months. That winning beer was the Mexican Chocolate Stout which was inspired by an ancient Aztec recipe for Mexican hot chocolate. The feeling here is comfortable -- more cafe than bar. There's a Brew Club you can join with incentives to keep you coming back. Check their Facebook page for the rotating tap list.
Comrade Brewing Company

Comrade Brewing Company

"Welcome to the Party!" they like to say at this brewery. With a big, open, social tasting room, it really is a party here. Comrade has four year-round offerings that you can count on (the "Rank and File" beers). But there's also an arrangement of seasonal beers that come and go -- the "Visiting Brass." As an unexpected twist on the communist theme here, Comrade has what is considered a rarity in the craft beer industry: the brewhouse and all other process vessels were made in the USA.

Denver - East Colfax

Fiction Beer Company

Fiction Beer Company

This place creatively combines beer with books. The bar is made out of books...(literally!) And each beer is inspired by a specific author whose literary style fits the character of the beer. As you sip on your beer, feel free to take a book -- or add one -- to the free mini-library in the tasting room.
Alpine Dog Brewing Company

Alpine Dog Brewing Company

Alpine Dog is part of the trend transforming Colfax Avenue into a craft beer presence in Denver. Just steps off the famous Avenue, this brewery also is a living tribute to Coloradans, their love for dogs, mountains...and, of course, beer. The tasting room is full of beautiful mountain photography and even has lounge-style chairs made out of skis. And the brewing philosophy here is to make small batches of big, unique beers... Beers with the adventurous spirit of Coloradans themselves.
Vine Street Pub & Brewery

Vine Street Pub & Brewery

Like its Boulder brethren (Mountain Sun and Southern Sun), The Vine Street Pub & Brewery serves up fresh brews and a full menu of tantalizing food. It has become an institution in Denver with special events such as yoga and live music to breathe life into the Uptown neighborhood. The brewing capacity here is bigger than that at the Boulder locations -- but all locations offer the same amazing beers, along with the distinctively chill Mountain Sun ambiance. Cash only.
Cerebral Brewing

Cerebral Brewing

Cerebral Brewing's philosophy lives up to its name: "Beer is art, culture and science." It is definitely a brainy approach to craft beer and it helps explain the nuanced, precise character of Cerebral's various brews. This place is easy to access with a tasting room of considerable size and a patio facing east for a shady spot on a sunny afternoon.
Thirsty Monk

Thirsty Monk

This brewery is based in Asheville, N.C. They expanded to Denver with this 12-barrel operation and cozy tasting room in 2018. So you get to taste the beers they've been working on here, along with the many others they brew back in North Carolina. They tend to adhere to the Belgian tradition, but they'll surprise you, too (consider the Farmhouse IPA). The mood here is down-to-earth and yet imaginative: They sometimes use wild yeast captured off their own roof. You can even order "food flights"--snacks, such as crisps, chick peas, and cheeses--alongside suggested beer pairings.

Denver - Highlands

Prost Brewing

Prost Brewing

This brewery brings Germany to Denver...Literally! The brewery equipment was brought here from a village in Bavaria where it had been used to produce German-style beers since 1963. The unique location, right off I-25, gives you a great view of the Denver skyline as you sip on your beer at long picnic tables, surrounded by German decor. Though there aren't many taps to choose from, that just doesn't matter: This brewery offers a premium product -- authentic German beer. The flagship beer is the Prost Pils, but they're also known for their WeiBbeir and Dunkel Bier.
Diebolt Brewing Company

Diebolt Brewing Company

The Sunnyside neighborhood of Denver is known for family businesses. And now you can add a family-run craft brewer to the mix. The Deibolt family opened this brewery in mid-2013 and created quite the buzz with a charming art deco style and neighborhood feel to the tasting room. They have ancestral roots in France, so a French influence is evident in some of these beers.
Factotum Brewhouse

Factotum Brewhouse

You haven't been to a true neighborhood bar until you've visited this place. Why? Because at Factotum, the neighbors brew the beer. Factotum has a head brewer, brewing equipment and a tasting room. But unlike your typical craft brewer, Factotum produces beer by enlisting local people who share their recipes and talents. The end result is a wonderfully diverse range of beers and a dynamic place where the craft behind craft brewing is on everyone's mind! If you are interested in getting involved, contact Factotum. They also conduct brewing classes.
Little Machine Beer

Little Machine Beer

Little Machine features a circular bar that creates a flowing, social atmosphere. There is a strong commitment here to producing drinkable, balanced beers, which tend to be in the lower ABV range. But they're branching out, too, with an exciting rotation of beers that include Dark and Strong ales, a Double IPA, Belgian styles, and experimental beers.
Briar Common Brewery + Eatery

Briar Common Brewery + Eatery

This is a chic place with nice seating options: There's a ground-level restaurant/bar area and upstairs there's another bar with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The beers here are divided into three categories (American, Belgian, and Rotating). No matter what you order among the beer and food menus, you realize that everything here is made with tender care and appreciation for subtlety and nuance. (Even the pickles and bread are made from scratch!) Briar Common is very good at advising you on how to pair the beer with the food. Their "Chef & Brewer Tasting Menu" gives you three courses, each paired carefully with a different beer.
Zuni Street Brewing Company

Zuni Street Brewing Company

Founded by a couple of Denver natives, Zuni Street is a very casual, fun place that fits the neighborhood like a glove. The live edge bar is fitted with a beautiful pergola, which is part of a vast, high-ceilinged interior. Lots of sunshine pours in from the south, and on a warm day you can take advantage of the patios there (...where you will also find a daily food truck, picnic tables, and yard games). The owners here value the great outdoors; their enthusiasm is reflected in the wilderness theme of the bar. The brewer focuses on the drinkability of his beers and specializes in German, Belgian, and American style beers.
Oasis Brewing Company

Oasis Brewing Company

Many locals will remember Oasis from the 1990s when it thrived in nearby Boulder. The brewery went AWOL for about 20 years. But now it's back, and in beautiful form. The structure is a historically preserved building, a restored brick church from the 1930s. Many of the beer recipes from the old days have been revived, and "Rotator" beers shuffle into the lineup, too. These include trending options like New England IPA and Rye IPA. The main bar area is supplemented with an upstairs section. There are TV's throughout and the biggest screen is near the entrance, adjacent to the bar.

Denver - Lower Downtown

Great Divide Brewing Company

Great Divide Brewing Company

Near Coors Field, in the LoDo district of Denver, this tap room offers an ever-rotating lineup of impressive beers. With nine year-round beers and twelve seasonals, Great Divide has something for everyone. The brewery was founded in 1994. Its long history and prestige is reflected in the array of GABF (Great American Beer Festival) medals proudly on display here. Depending on the timing of your visit, you can tour the brewery or even enjoy a firkin release. Rest assured, you will experience a "Yeti sighting": Yeti is Great Divide's world-famous imperial stout that's always on tap... in one form or another!
Denver Beer Company

Denver Beer Company

The tap room here is on the bigger side, which helps during prime-social-time because this place can really hop! (Pun intended). Denver Beer Co. prides itself as a "farmer's table" of beer: They frequently change up the beer menu according to the season and available ingredients. That translates to a savory variety of premium artisan ales and lagers. And thanks to the "Barrel Room" you will also find bigger, barrel-aged beers from time to time. This room also provides a distinctive atmosphere for special events. There is also extra outdoor seating in front of the brewery on lively Platte Street.
Wynkoop Brewing Company

Wynkoop Brewing Company

Where it all began in Denver. Founded in 1988, this is the oldest craft brewer in the city. An easy walk to light rail and Coors Field for Rockies baseball games, Wynkoop resides in a classic brick 19th century building. The beers here run the gamut (they actually refer to them all as "Liquid Art"): From standards Rail Yard Ale, B3K Black Lager and Silverback Pale Ale, to the more experimental barrel-aged, sours, and a few guest taps. Wynkoop isn't afraid to push the envelope; just try the "Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout" -- a very ballsy creation!
Denver ChopHouse and Brewery

Denver ChopHouse and Brewery

A famous steak place ...that brews beer too! This place is classy, upscale, jazzy, and practically next door to Coors Field. You'll find about nine taps -- a lot of German and a bit of Belgian, alongside the more standard American ales. One tap is devoted to the "Brewer's Marker" -- the current special offering which changes up a couple times each season.
Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery

Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery

With roots in some high-profile breweries in Michigan, Jagged Mountain offers Denver the opportunity to drink "adventurous" beer. In other words, you can start out with a session beer here, but get ready to scale some peaks, too! Jagged Mountain loves to take chances with unique ingredients and higher levels of alcohol. On any given day here you may taste an old ale and an imperial IPA, alongside two saisons with contrasting ABV's. You will also find artwork that celebrates the adventurous spirit of the Rocky Mountains.
Tivoli Brewing Company

Tivoli Brewing Company

This brewery is located inside the original Tivoli Brewery building which was built back in 1859. History surrounds you here: Notice the original wood and granite floors, brick walls and a 250-barrel copper kettle from the earliest days of brewing in Denver. Upon opening in summer 2015, Tivoli's beer menu was basic with room to grow. But this place is also a distributor so there's an expansive and unique list of guest taps. The kitchen serves high-quality food that pairs well with beers. This is a big place which caters to large groups heading to a sporting event or concert at the nearby Pepsi Center. You can park on the Auraria campus or take a short walk from lower-downtown Denver.
LIBERATI Restaurant & Brewery

LIBERATI Restaurant & Brewery

From the colorful and vibrant outside of the building, to the unique brewing process and spacious indoor and patio areas, this brewery is anything but common place in the Denver brewery scene. It is the first of its kind in Colorado brewing the unique “oenobeer” (a beer/wine hybrid with each beer using a different wine grape, making up to 49% of the fermentable sugars). This process presents a whole new range of flavors, textures and taste for guests to explore. For those not quite ready to dive into the oenobeer scene, they also offer classic American styles and a full bar with ample selection of wines and cocktails. Sitting on the patio in the evening with the fountain flowing can feel like your own little sanctuary in Italy. LIBERATI brings a true taste of Italy to Denver where they offer authentic Italian food.

Denver - Broadway Area

TRVE Brewing

TRVE Brewing

Inspired by the ethos of Norse mythology, this place has a unique design and feel… and an ever-shifting lineup of good brews to boot. Heavy metal music pervades the tap room via an excellent sound system. The operation is definitely small here, so it’s hard to predict what brew will be available at any given time. But it’s a creative operation too, so they don’t try to limit themselves to any one style or any strict definition of a given style. Be on the lookout for Special Tapping events, when the brewer introduces a new creation or brings back a proven winner from the past.
LowDown Brewery + Kitchen

LowDown Brewery + Kitchen

LowDown brings quality beer and food to Denver's Golden Triangle neighborhood. Hip design -- and community tables -- create an exciting ambiance inside. Outside provides an expansive patio and even more seating options. The beer list runs the gamut-- offering a wide array of styles, and a few guest taps. You can even order pitchers of beer, which is unique for craft brewers in the area (...and a smart concept, given the community tables!) The food menu is creative, with a commitment to local, organic ingredients.
Black Project Spontaneous & Wild Ales

Black Project Spontaneous & Wild Ales

This brewery will convince you that "terroir" can apply to beer, not just wine. By specializing in wild fermentation, Black Project imparts a sense of place to each beer they produce because they ferment with microbes captured from the local environment. They use different fermentation vessels from beer to beer, such as stainless steel, wine barrels and rum barrels. They are also known to incorporate fruit, such as grapes from Western Colorado. Be sure to check in with them on social media to discover what's new; due to their scientific and experimental approach, the tap list changes frequently.
Baere Brewing Company

Baere Brewing Company

This brewery is tucked into a strip mall in Denver's Baker neighborhood, When you first enter you realize that the place is big enough to seat 80 people... but it also has an intimate vibe, with reclaimed wood providing a mellow feeling throughout. The beers are sure to please anyone: From those who want a barrel-aged adventure to those on the lighter side -- who can choose from a selection of house-made syrups for their glass of "Baere-Liner Weisse."
Grandma's House

Grandma's House

You guessed it: The Denver craft beer scene is so eclectic, even Grandma has joined the scene! This quaint brewery features impeccable design that makes you feel like you really are visiting Grandma. (There's even an Atari video set-up on an old TV which Grandma apparently played back in the 1980s...) The beer concept here is very unique: It's a collective. That means Grandma brews some of the beer while providing a "kitchen" for her "grandkids" (gypsy brewers) to brew their stuff. So when you drink here you typically sample beers from about four different craft brewers.
Declaration Brewing Company

Declaration Brewing Company

The Founding Fathers would be proud of this place. Declaration opened with great gusto in early 2015. There's lots to take in here: Forty taps (mostly their own beers), a canning line (the canning effort concentrates on their American-style flagship beers), and a shaded beer-garden that features live music during the warmer months. There are plans for a VIP Lounge looking down on to the brewhouse. An easy walk from RTD Light Rail's Evans station, Declaration is easy to get to and hard to leave.
Platt Park Brewing Co.

Platt Park Brewing Co.

As you walk along South Pearl Street, you savor the feel of a classic Denver neighborhood brimming with beautiful homes, artisan shops, cafes, restaurants... and a craft brewery! Platt Park Brewing fits the area like a glove. There is a strong community feeling here: Families, dogs, and young craft enthusiasts intermingle around a wide range of beers, including Gump's Vienna Lager -- which won a GABF silver medal in 2014 when Platt Park was brand new on the scene.
CO Brew

CO Brew

"CO Brew" is Denver's first Brewery, Brewing Supply and Brew on Premises experience. Denver metro home brewers and craft beer lovers looking for a full selection of grains, hops, yeast and equipment will appreciate their convenient location at 11th & Broadway in Central Denver. CO Brew brews beer for customers to enjoy in our tap room while shopping, during a brew session or just hanging out. CO Brew's tap list rotates often, so drop in for fresh new beer offerings weekly.
Banded Oak Brewing Co.

Banded Oak Brewing Co.

With connections to the wine industry, this brewery creates some unique beers aged in a variety of barrels, including Chardonnay, Syrah and Cabernet. But most of the beer here flows from a solid lineup of more common styles. The cozy tasting room vibrates with a shiny new ambiance. The outdoor patio is expansive and opens up on to lively Broadway.
Novel Strand Brewing Company

Novel Strand Brewing Company

Here's a unique approach: Coffee shop by day, brewery by night. That's right: Come in before the brewery opens, and this place is run by Queen City Collective Coffee, a local roaster. After that, things segue to a craft brewing scene. Either way, it's a classy setting with a neighborhood vibe. (Since the location is a few blocks off busy Broadway, it's tucked in nicely to the heart of the Baker district). The IPA's here tend to garner attention, thanks to a remarkably wide variety of hops that the brewer likes to utilize. Beers are typically brewed in small batches, so the menu changes up frequently.
Alternation Brewing Company

Alternation Brewing Company

This is a great place to take a diverse group because it caters to both the casual beer drinker and the connoisseur. There are about 10-12 taps here, which alternate frequently, thus the name Alternation. The interior is divided between a front bar area and a back area right next to the brewhouse, where a few TV's are mounted atop the fermenters. Be sure to try the milk stout, which can take on different personalities from batch to batch: S'mores, Vanilla Bean, or Candy Cane, to name a few!
Counter Culture Brewery & Grille

Counter Culture Brewery & Grille

When you visit this brewery, you quickly realize their long counter is a symbol for a counterculture movement in Denver, where breweries historically focus only on beer. Counter Culture is not only placing more value on food, they are cooking it themselves from scratch, using a wood grill for the proteins, and encouraging you to buy food by placing the food option at the beginning of the counter. When you move down the counter to your beer selection, you're gonna find about eight versatile in-house taps, five guest taps, plus some wine and cider.

Denver - Southwest

Renegade Brewing Company

Renegade Brewing Company

In Denver's Santa Fe Arts District, this tap room features a big open space, a long and winding bar, and a versatile beer menu with the occasional surprise experiment to keep you on your toes. (Ever tried a "white stout"?) As a "renegade," the brewery prides itself on making beers that are "Offensively Delicious." This place grew quickly in a short time span, yet it has retained its small craft brewer's charm. A short walk to several art galleries, Renegade is well-integrated into the community and creates a friendly, social environment with board games to play and no televisions to distract you from the people and the beer.
Black Sky Brewery

Black Sky Brewery

This is a heavy metal-themed brewery: A dark ambiance and metal music will put you in the mood for beers that seem to be named by the metal gods themselves. You'll find about 20 taps in total-- typically eight Black Sky originals and 12 guest taps. There are a few hard liquor options and a food menu that's simple but committed to cooking from scratch. If you need a break from the dark metal scene, just step outside to the patio.
Chain Reaction Brewing Company

Chain Reaction Brewing Company

In Denver's Athmar Park neighborhood, there's a Chain Reaction happening and the result is lots of great beer! It may be a bit off the beaten path, but with close proximity to I-25 and Broadway, this brewery is easy to find and has helped extend the craft beer scene to the southwest side of the city. Inside here you'll find a big open space and impressive original woodwork, created by the brewers' family. Outside, there's a patio and room for the occasional food truck. You are sure to enjoy a wide array of beers here, with seasonals rotating in to supplement the flagships.
Crazy Mountain Tap Room + BBQ

Crazy Mountain Tap Room + BBQ

Crazy Mountain started in tiny Edwards, Colorado. The brewery grew so big, so fast, they decided to expand to Denver. So they took over this structure which originally belonged to Breckenridge Brewery. Here you will find that same warm, comfortable ambiance this space was always known for. Crazy Mountain offers about 16 taps of their own beers, plus about five guest taps and a great barbecue food menu.
The Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project

The Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project

This brewery brings daring flare to your beer tasting experience because they bring in influences and unique ingredients from across the world. You will find their beers divided into three categories: "Traveler" beers are relatively basic and straight-forward. "Explorer" beers are more complex. And the "Sojourner" beers are higher ABV. The beers they feature most often are their Lavender Tripel, Basil IPA, and Chamomile Hefe-Wit. The tasting room is bright and lively, right around the corner from the main drag of Denver's Santa Fe Arts District.
Burns Family Artisan Ales

Burns Family Artisan Ales

A brewery that specializes in high-gravity beers without forsaking their sessionable cousins. You'll find a lot of beers here at 10% ABV and up, such as barleywine, imperial stout, and Belgian Quad. These are beers that cellar well, so remember to buy a bottle before you leave if you enjoyed a taster. For the lower-alcohol beers, typically expect a Kolsch, a lager, and an IPA. The tasting room features eclectic living room furniture, and there's a private room off to the side, available for rental. The brewery's location is off the beaten path but very close to I-25. Enter the parking lot and go past a few other businesses and you know you've arrived.

Denver - West Highlands

De Steeg Brewing

De Steeg Brewing

This is a quirky place in the hip Tennyson district -- but not technically on it! De Steeg is Dutch for "the alley." The entrance is not on Tennyson St.; it's in the alleyway parallel and to the east of Tennyson, just off 44th Avenue. So you're reminded of a speakeasy as you enter De Steeg -- and the loose, casual, dive-bar feel of the interior only helps increase the mood to drink beer! In its early days, the brewery has taken the "one and done" approach to brewing. So instead of a regular lineup of beers you will find whatever happens to be available on that particular day: We have enjoyed everything from barleywine and hoppy pale ales to wheat beers and saisons at De Steeg.
Hogshead Brewery

Hogshead Brewery

The structure here is a chic, re-purposed 1950s gas station that fits in beautifully with the Slo-Hi neighborhood (the area between Sloans Lake and Highlands). There's a nice patio in front, leading toward the indoors tasting room -- a sunny space with a view into the brewery itself. This is one of those rare brewers that focuses entirely on a certain tradition of beer: English, in this case. Another unique thing here is that oftentimes you can choose your beer pour from either the CO2 pressurized keg or from a naturally carbonated cask. The latter gives you the quintessential British experience. As for food, feel free to bring your own, or order in from a nearby restaurant.
Goldspot Brewing Company

Goldspot Brewing Company

Goldspot really stands out in the heart of Denver's Berkeley neighborhood. This is an urban area, near I-70, but relatively quiet. This craft brewer brought new energy to the area that dovetails nicely with the vibrant community of nearby Regis University. There is a free-flowing, local vibe happening here in an intimate, classy tap room. Goldspot has even established ties with Regis, bringing on board a brewing intern from the university's recently-created brewing program.
Call to Arms Brewing Company

Call to Arms Brewing Company

The founders of this brewery worked previously at Avery Brewing in Boulder. Here, on the north end of the lively Tennyson strip in Northwest Denver, they have established a beautiful space and a mission to create fine, nuanced beers. The brewery is off-set slightly from the street, with a restaurant opening in the front of the building by the end of 2015. You get the feeling of an oasis in the city. There's lots of room to lock your bike in this area and grab a bite from a food truck. The indoor bar area is lovely and inviting with the row of tap handles spelling out your destination, one letter on each handle: CALL TO ARMS.
The Grateful Gnome Sandwich Shoppe & Brewery

The Grateful Gnome Sandwich Shoppe & Brewery

With its opening in 2018, this brewery pushed the trend for Denver craft breweries to include their own food kitchen. Here the food is all about sub sandwiches: There are over 40 to choose from, both cold and hot. The deli counter is detached from the bar. You can order at either; or take a seat and rely on your server. The beer selection changes up often but you can typically expect a pale, IPA, brown, and a blonde, along with a few guest taps, and Colorado-grown wine and spirits. Oh, and what about that Gnome? He is a loose reference to The Grateful Dead... So don't be surprised to find a band playing here from time to time!
FlyteCo Brewing

FlyteCo Brewing

This brewery does more than claim an aviation theme... It brings that to life with a lot of custom-built touches. The most noticeable is, well, a 737! To be precise, we're talking about laser-cut rolled steel scaled as the fuselage of a Boeing 737. This serves as the main seating area. You can select from a good range of beers that reflect the adventurous spirit of a pilot. And look closely at the coasters. They are meticulously hand-made by the nearby Young Aviators club at Erie Airport; you can buy a coaster to benefit that club.
Empourium Brewing Company

Empourium Brewing Company

Remember the Emporium pool hall, the hang out in the movie "Dazed and Confused"? If you do, you realize this brewery pays homage with its name. If you don't, you're still going to love this place, its community-focused concept and its approach to brewing. Most of the beers here are sessionable. They tend to be 5.5% ABV and below. The brewer likes to let the base beer shine. When he adds something to a beer, like fruit or coffee, he uses it as an accent, not as a dominant flavor. The light, easy-going beers fit right in with the family-friendly ambiance. You don't exactly step into a 1970's comedic movie by coming here, but it's a nice, mellow environment, for sure!

Denver - Northeast

Station 26 Brewing Company

Station 26 Brewing Company

The Park Hill area of Denver had an emergency: No brewery! Fortunately, this beautiful red brick building (yes, a former fire station!) became Station 26 in 2013. It's a spacious brewery with great seating options inside and out. A specially designated space in front lets food trucks set up shop regularly. And if you want to bring in food from a nearby restaurant, Station 26 is happy to provide suggestions. You are going to find a wide range of beers here, as Station 26 is dedicated to diversity.
Long Table Brewhouse

Long Table Brewhouse

You don't typically find a craft brewery smack dab in the middle of a Denver neighborhood, but this place is unique. Long Table is a gem within Park Hill, a generally quiet residential area. Inside, you can enjoy your beers in a very polished-looking tasting room, or in a spillover room behind the bar (which is also available for private rental). Outside, there's a rather spacious patio which stretches from the front door around to the side of the building. Because of the lack of nearby restaurants, food trucks are common here.
Blue Tile Brewing

Blue Tile Brewing

Here’s a brewery that loves skateboards, good music, and hard-working people. Here are some helpful hints on how to find this place: Take Franklin Street north off of 58thAve. It’s a dead-end, but as you veer to the right, you’ll see a sign for BEER. That means you made it. Lots of local workers make it here after work, too, so the busier times are weeknights. The walls here are covered with colorful décor—mostly skateboards and local music concert posters. The beers tend toward the lower-ABV range and fit right in to the whole scene with their fun, colorful names.
River North Brewery

River North Brewery

River North Brewery originally set up shop in the River North Arts District (RiNO) before moving even further north of downtown Denver. This brewery attracts beer connoisseurs and the curious alike. River North is known for American style ales "with a Belgian twist." In other words, they focus on brewing unique Belgian-style ales in both traditional and Belgo-American categories. They can also dazzle you with their barrel-aged creations.

Denver - River North / Five Points

Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew

Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew

The theme here is human connection -- via beer! -- and the tap room proves it. Located in the Five Points neighborhood, this is a warm, inviting place -- a self-proclaimed "small maltstery." The hip, urban design here features modern art work, vinyl records, an outdoor patio... and a range of ales to enjoy. (Make no mistake: beer is the mutual friend of all the people who enter!). Since the brewer emphasizes local sources in crafting the beer, the menu here at any given time depends greatly on the availability of ingredients. This helps ensure freshness and local pride.
Black Shirt Brewing

Black Shirt Brewing

The approach at Black Shirt is to brew one beer really well by focusing on one style, the red ale, and create variations such as red IPAs, saisons, porters and stouts. All their beers go down smooth without bitterness. This is the result of a precise process to create specific beers. This intentionality is also evident in the ambiance of their tap room and even the way they fill their cans and growlers. Stop in and taste a pint of red for yourself. Parking is in a fenced lot behind the brewery.
Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project

Crooked Stave resides within The Source, a 19th-century foundry that was recently converted into a European-style indoor food market. The brewery existed for over two years before landing here (It got its start renting space at Funkwerks in Fort Collins). Now, having garnered national attention, it thrives alongside a variety of artisan shops, including a bakery and a butcher. Crooked Stave is known for its ever-evolving array of barrel-aged, wild, sour and funky beers.
Epic Brewing Company

Epic Brewing Company

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Epic took Colorado by storm with its breadth of quality beers. In 2013 they opened this location... and it sure lives up to the name "Epic." At 1,400 square feet, the Denver Taproom is very spacious for a craft brewer. The massive brewing area is adjacent to the taproom. The fresh beer really flows here: 25 Epic beers on tap, with limited release firkins and nitros available on a rotating basis.
Beryl's Beer Company

Beryl's Beer Company

This is a niche brewery -- and a very hot, exciting niche! Barrels. The basic lineup of beers here features base beers... The advanced lineup is those same beers aged in barrels. The barrels impart more complex flavors, along with slightly higher alcohol levels. The barrels vary from brandy to wine to whiskey to....whatever! Whatever suits the beer in question.
Ratio Beerworks

Ratio Beerworks

The space here is a former distillery that has been brightened up with more windows and color. Add to that 4,000 square feet of outdoor patio and several wonderful beers -- and you've got a recipe for a great craft beer experience. Ratio anchors their lineup with four flagship beers. But they're also known for an artisanal series-- beers that are often barrel-aged and then released in bombers, or via firkin event. As part of the creative RINO neighborhood, Ratio places a high value on the craftsmanship in their beer -- and on the can-do spirit of their many neighbors in the art and music scene.
Mockery Brewing

Mockery Brewing

OK, so what if they don't take everything seriously at this craft brewery? The one exception to that is they are very serious about beer and how they make it! Mockery is a big part of the revitalization of Brighton Boulevard in Denver's RINO neighborhood. They serve up an array of beers full of flavor and nuance. The atmosphere is as vibrant as the beer: The sunny interior tap room opens up to an adjacent patio (of course), and then -- surprise! -- a separate structure that serves as a game room: Bring your beer over here to dive into some classic arcade games and shuffleboard.
Spangalang Brewery

Spangalang Brewery

The Five Points neighborhood was known in its heyday as a jazz mecca -- the "Harlem of the West." Spangalang, named after a jazz term, brought craft beer to the mix starting in 2015 as part of the renaissance of Five Points. This brewery celebrates Welton Street's jazz roots with a hip tasting room and a dazzling array of beers. Framed jazz album covers adorn the walls. If you want to hear a certain album, just ask the bartender to switch up the turntable when he's not too busy handling the taps.
Great Divide Brewing Company - Barrel Bar

Great Divide Brewing Company - Barrel Bar

Having outgrown their original location -- about a mile from here -- Great Divide added this place. The Barrel Bar gives you the usual lineup of Great Divide beers, plus more offerings in the seasonal and barrel-aged categories. Take a tour here and you can see just how expansive and efficient the Great Divide operation is. Plus, you can see how they plan to expand this location to eventually include a restaurant and beer garden. They have five acres to work with, and plans to complete it all by 2020.
Bierstadt Lagerhaus

Bierstadt Lagerhaus

From day one, Bierstadt entered a partnership with C Squared Ciders and Rackhouse Pub. What this means is three great businesses under one roof. Here you will find a large horseshoe bar that offers, typically, a handful of Bierstadt beers (one collaboration with another local brewery is common), and one guest tap. You can pair these carefully-crafted German beers with excellent food from Rackhouse's kitchen. While you're here, take advantage of the chance to tour both a brewery and a cidery in one fell swoop.
10 Barrel Brewing Company

10 Barrel Brewing Company

Ten Barrel started up in Bend, OR before expanding to other cities, including this spot in Denver. This is an expansive place with two levels of indoor seating, plus a second-floor outdoor balcony that offers nice views of the city. You can choose from about 22 beers, a few of which are brewed right here in Denver on a 20 barrel system. Check out their menu for some scratch pub grub.
Blue Moon Brewing Company

Blue Moon Brewing Company

This is a grand, beautiful brewery to visit. Upon entering, you see an array of seating options across a vast interior, with a circular bar at the heart of it all. Be sure to consider Blue Moon's impressive menu of beer flights, ranging from "International" to "Imperial," "IPA" to "Crisp and Refreshing" (just to name a few). You will typically find 24 beers on tap--most of them brewed on the premises--with a few more always coming up the pipeline. Be sure to check out the food menu...And carry a beer with you as you take the informative self-guided tour.
Woods Boss Brewing Company

Woods Boss Brewing Company

The Woods Boss, this brewery tells us, is all about the community and getting the job done right. With its focus on supporting local non-profits and appealing to as many beer palates as possible, Woods Boss Brewing walks the walk. Among their dozen or so taps, you're bound to find something you like...Anything from a New England IPA to a red ale with a hint of smokiness; a Belgian Blonde or a pale wheat ale brewed with juniper berries. There's lots to choose from and lots of community spirit here in a grand tasting room that reminds you of the spacious vistas of the Rocky Mountains.
14er Brewing Company

14er Brewing Company

You've gotta make a point of coming here to experience a uniquely Colorado brewery with a "crushable" lineup. These are beers that aim to be on the lighter, thinner side so they won't weigh you down during your mountain adventures. And yes, many of the beers are named after Colorado peaks, whether they are the famous "14ers" (those over 14,000 feet in elevation), or their slightly less tall neighbors. Enjoy your beer in the cozy, exposed-brick tasting room...or grab some cans to go and head west!
Odell Brewing Company - Denver Taproom

Odell Brewing Company - Denver Taproom

Here, in the heart of Denver's Rino district, Odell set up this satellite location about 60 miles south of their Ft. Collins headquarters. Expect the "Classic" Odell lineup of beers, along with a wonderful and ever-changing selection of "Rino Small Batch" beers. The building has a classy look and design. Initially, you walk in to a sleek main bar area. But there's a lot more than meets the eye. As you move around, you feel as if this taproom is really four places in one: There's a separate bar upstairs, and beautiful outdoor patios, both upstairs and ground level.
River North Brewery - Blake Street Taproom

River North Brewery - Blake Street Taproom

This location is the brewery's neighborhood presence: It sits right in the middle of the River North neighborhood, just steps from the A-line train which connects Unions Station to Denver International Airport. Although more brewing occurs at their other location, this location allows River North to experiment with a pilot-brew system. You will also get a more intimate, laid-back feeling at this location, which fits right in with the vibe of the neighborhood.
New Belgium Brewing - The Woods (at The Source Hotel)

New Belgium Brewing - The Woods (at The Source Hotel)

You will notice The Source Hotel easily because it's the tallest structure on this stretch of Brighton Blvd. Even if you're not a hotel guest, go right on in and take the elevator to the 8th floor (the very top), where you will find "The Woods." New Belgium, whose main brewery is about one hour’s drive north of here, focuses on small batch creations in The Woods. This often means creative sour and/or barrel-aged beers that you cannot find anywhere else. There is a food menu, guest taps, and amazing views of the Denver skyline and Rocky Mountains.

Denver - Northwest

Strange Craft Beer Company

Strange Craft Beer Company

Strange was a pioneer in locating a craft brewery in the industrial landscape just west of I-25 in central Denver. This brewery has created quite the phenomenon with its "One Barrel Wednesdays." On most Wednesdays, Strange reveals a new beer -- one barrel only -- with advance notice on Facebook. If any given one-barrel is popular enough, it just might get promoted into Strange's regular lineup. But even if you come on a day other than Wednesday, there's plenty to choose from here, including seasonals such as the Dr. Strangelove barleywine. Now sharing space with Wit's End Brewing Company.
Wit's End Brewing Company

Wit's End Brewing Company

Wit's End bills itself as a "nanobrewery." In other words, they brew just one barrel of beer at a time. By staying small and focused, Wit's End creates a "Melting Mug" of beer -- a unique, experimental approach to brewing which borrows from established traditions while blending in new savory touches of its own. For example, one popular offering called "Mick Jaggery" was an English-style ESB-- but with the addition of an Indian cooking sugar called jaggery. Now sharing space with Strange Craft Beer Company.
Seedstock Brewery

Seedstock Brewery

This brewery has a very rustic feel because it was inspired by the tradition of European immigrants brewing in their barns across America's Midwest. On any given day, you are likely to find a beer lineup showcasing American and European styles--specifically, Germany and the Czech Republic. Be sure to try a little of everything because if you are biased one way or the other, Seedstock can really open your mind to different kinds of beer!
Bruz Beers

Bruz Beers

Here's a brewery bringing life to Midtown, one of the newer neighborhoods in Denver. There's huge respect for the Belgian brewing tradition here, so the tap list features traditional Belgian classics and Belgian-inspired creations with an American edge, such as the Centennial Hoppy Saison. The tasting room has very high ceilings and a contemporary feel that fits right in with Midtown's shiny new aesthetic. Plenty of parking can be found in the large lot right behind the tasting room.

Arvada

Odyssey Beerwerks

Odyssey Beerwerks

Though technically in Arvada, this brewery practically borders Northwest Denver and is easy to access from I-70 or I-76. You will enjoy a range of beer styles here: five regulars combine with a host of seasonals and small batches that constantly work their way into the lineup. Community tables, a small bar, and an impressive merchandise section all help to make this a dynamic craft beer destination. Also, consider many happy hours on any given Sunday here (that day is All-Day Happy Hour!)
New Image Brewing Company

New Image Brewing Company

In the heart of Olde Town Arvada, this brewery has somewhat of an East Coast influence (think "New England" style IPAs) and other beers that rely on brettanomyces and barrel-aging. Many of their beers--Flora, Dyad, and Altura--morph seasonally to reflect available ingredients. The brewer here also likes to collaborate with nearby breweries. The room has a posh feel with the work of local artists hanging from the walls. The kitchen offers a fine array of tapas style food; you can also select from guest beer taps, cocktails and wine.
Some Place Else Brewery

Some Place Else Brewery

This brewery serves up a nice variety of seasonal and experimental brews, in addition to their handful of flagships. What's really unique though is their "Neighbeer" series which allows a home brewer to come in and brew up a keg of his/her own recipe. While you're here take advantage of playing some pinball on any of their vintage machines.
Denver Beer Company - Olde Town Arvada

Denver Beer Company - Olde Town Arvada

Denver Beer Company expanded to this Arvada location in 2017, helping to energize the quaint Olde Town area. The production here is relatively small (a seven barrel brewhouse), but they keep things dynamic: You're going to find the Water Tower Wit on tap--an exclusive beer brewed just for this location. And of course the other taps showcase the beers made famous at the original location in Denver, alongside rotating seasonal small batches. Enjoy the huge outdoor patio and the built-in food truck serving up burgers and sandwiches.

Aurora

Dry Dock Brewery (South Dock)

Dry Dock Brewery (South Dock)

Dry Dock Brewery (South Dock) is the original brewery, and could be easy to overlook since it's located in an unassuming strip mall in suburban Aurora. We advise you to not make such a mistake! This brewery grew incredibly fast since its inception in 2005. So much, in fact, that a larger production facility (see North Dock) was constructed in 2012 in North Aurora. But lots of brewing still happens here at the south location and this is where you come to taste their impressive lineup of the "Home Fleet" (year-round beers), alongside an ever-changing array of "Visiting Vessels" (seasonal beers). Dry Dock is also known for the occasional one-off experiment, usually in the form of a "Friday Firkin."
Ursula Brewery

Ursula Brewery

What makes this craft brewer unique is their commitment to local music plus their vital approach to brewing. The first thing you notice here is that the beer lineup is flexible. Yes, they do have a core lineup of flagships, more or less, but they mix things up. For instance, you will typically find a Kolsch on tap ("Sleepyhead"), but there's no telling what fruit they may add to it. (They won a GABF Silver Medal in 2014 for this beer with passion fruit involved). To emphasize its love of beer plus music, Ursula does beer collaborations with local bands: They create a new beer inspired by a specific band who then come to play a live concert at the tapping party
Dry Dock Brewery (North Dock)

Dry Dock Brewery (North Dock)

This location, Dry Dock's production facility, was added years after the original location (see South Dock) opened. This huge canning, kegging and bottling operation has a tasting room attached to it called The Canoe Room. Fewer taps here (four) but they are special taps: limited offerings, such as barrel-aged beers. There are also recreational offerings here including ping pong and shuffleboard.
Dad & Dudes Breweria

Dad & Dudes Breweria

Started by a father and a son, Dad & Dudes combines great craft beers with a food menu that ranges from pizza and calzones to sandwiches and salads. The best part about the pizza, calzones and sandwiches here is they're made with the spent grains they brew with. The atmosphere here says "sports bar" for the most part, but Shakespeare has a quote on the wall (beer-related, of course). You'll find about ten brews on tap: three flagships along with more specialized offerings.
Cheluna Brewing Company

Cheluna Brewing Company

Stanley Marketplace opened in 2016. It's a food-centric collection of businesses, and Cheluna is the craft brewery in residence. A few things make Cheluna remarkable. First of all, you'll notice a wide range of beer styles--from German to Belgian to American and Mexican. There's truly something for everyone. Additionally, Cheluna is available for hire if you want a custom brew (say, for your wedding). As for the tasting room, live music is common here. And if you get hungry, order in food from one of the neighboring restaurants...your meal will be delivered straight to your barstool!
Peak To Peak Tap & Brew

Peak To Peak Tap & Brew

This place is a "Tap & Brew" because they brew their own beer, but they also serve up kegs, bottles and cans from other nearby breweries. The atmosphere epitomizes a neighborhood spot: Unpretentious and casual. The food menu features appetizers, sandwiches and desserts--and a kids' menu, as well. Be sure to try the menu items made with beer, such as the stout beer float.
Launch Pad Brewery

Launch Pad Brewery

You'll know you've found this brewery when you see the distinctive font on their storefront which looks like the count-down digits you'd expect at a NASA launch, along with bourbon barrels stacked in the front window. Veteran-owned, Launch Pad pays tribute to the military and space travel. The decorations in the tasting room bring this theme to life...as do the creative beer names.

Brighton

Big Choice Brewing

Big Choice Brewing

This brewery was founded in 2011 in nearby Broomfield, and moved to Brighton in 2017. They converted what was a Bhuddist temple into a brewery so the structure does not look like your typical brewery! There are two patios and nice views of the mountains. Big Choice gives you plenty to choose from with their taps: Solid year-round standards alongside delightful seasonal rotators. 1990s punk rock and ska music permeate the airwaves via their sound system almost all the time and keeps the atmosphere lively.
Something Brewery

Something Brewery

This brewery sits right in the middle of downtown Brighton, a quaint main street setting in small town America. You suddenly forget that you're a mere 20 miles from downtown Denver. The lineup here is exciting and varied, with everything from sours, IPAs, and saisons to simpler cream and blonde ales. For something really unique, check out their Monsta! series of stouts. The namesake for these beers is none other than Cookie Monster, so cookies are involved. Some releases include Coconut Vanilla Oreo, Peanut Butter Oreo, and Mint Oreo

Broomfield

4 Noses Brewing Company

4 Noses Brewing Company

This brewery achieves its mission: 4 Noses strives to be a socially responsible brewery crafting beers with passion and creativity. It serves up the freshest possible ales and lagers, along with an ever-changing complement of barrel-aged beers. It doesn't hurt that the tasting room here has a life of its own. It's bigger than your average craft place, and yet it somehow retains the charm. The bar is especially long, with an outdoor patio on one end and a performance area for live music on the opposite end.
Wonderland Brewing Company

Wonderland Brewing Company

This is a spacious brewery with a nice variety of beers, ranging through various styles in the American, English and Belgian traditions. The tasting room has lots of room, whether you want to sit at the bar, find a table, or move over to the game area and play some ping pong while you sip. Outside, there are lawn games and two patios. Parking is easy and you'll often find a food truck there during the dinner hours.
Rails End Beer Company

Rails End Beer Company

In this industrial area of Broomfield, among various train lines, you can practically smell the hops a mile away. That means it's time to step out of the fast lane, and kick back with a beer. This brewery feels like an oasis from the hustle-bustle. You can barely hear any traffic as you step into the warehouse-style tasting room. The two-sided bar allows you to order either inside or out on the shady, wooden patio. The beer menu spells out your options clearly, from beers on the hoppy-side to the more malt and yeast-driven options. Food trucks are common, and you can catch live music on occasion.

Centennial

Resolute Brewing Company

Resolute Brewing Company

Resolute is a community-focused craft brewery. This means not only do they make great beer with a "quality over quantity" approach, but they also partner with local non-profits, hosting events that help give back to the community. In brewing, they use the right ingredients to stay true-to-style. So you can expect the right hops from Germany for their Hefeweizen, and the right yeast from Belgium for their saison. Look for both ales and lagers, as well as a gluten-free offering on the guest tap. Lots of seating here, indoors and out...and it's dog-friendly, too.
Two22 Brew

Two22 Brew

The name of this brewery tells the heart of their story. Two22 Brew donates $2.22 of every $10 profit to a Colorado charity. As you sip on your beer in the classy tasting room here, it's nice to know that you're helping someone in need. To find the brewery more easily, look for the tallest part of the structure with the angled roof. That makes it easy to spot among the various businesses in this shopping center.

Edgewater

Joyride Brewing Company

Joyride Brewing Company

Long ago in this part of Denver, a child took an ill-fated ride on a circus elephant. Today, the locals are encouraged to "Hop On" for a far more pleasurable ride. One can slow down and take it easy here. With a variety of beers on the menu and lively community tables, Joyride allows you to stop and smell the roses (hops, actually) near the banks of Sloan's Lake.

Golden

Coors Brewing Company

Coors Brewing Company

This is where it all began. In 1873, Adolph Coors picked this location because of the incomparable quality of the local water. And today, MillerCoors continues to produce a variety of beers here at the world's largest single site brewery. The self-guided tour includes individual audio and an inside-peek at the company's history and its complex brewing/packaging process. And even better, you end the tour at a gift shop and tasting room that features a complimentary glass of beer!
Golden City Brewery

Golden City Brewery

This is a cozy, homey brewery. And why not? It's in a house! Golden City blends right in with its quaint neighborhood thanks to an old and elegant Victorian-style structure and a side yard that's been converted into a pleasant bier-garden. The interior is an intimate space with a vintage look and feel. The beer selection here is small, which is part and parcel of a homey place.
Cannonball Creek Brewing Co.

Cannonball Creek Brewing Co.

Nearby Clear Creek was originally named Cannonball Creek, giving this brewery its distinctive name. Cannonball Creek features a large open room with tables throughout, a bar, and a brew-operation in plain view. The line-up changes frequently but you can count on a variety of ales, in the American, English and Belgian traditions. And you can drink your beer practically in the shadows of the Rocky Mountain foothills!
Mountain Toad Brewing

Mountain Toad Brewing

A happy local toad population is said to indicate a flourishing community. You won't find any toads here, but there are plenty of happy people enjoying great beer and company. With a comfortable bar area inside and an inviting bier-garden outside, this craft brewer is all about bringing people together. There are up to eight different beers on tap, depending on the season. Light snacks are available for purchase; if that's not enough, bring in food from a nearby restaurant or look for a food truck right outside the brewery.
Barrels & Bottles Brewery

Barrels & Bottles Brewery

Right in the heart of Golden, this brewery provides a brewpub experience that combines the relaxed feel of a sports bar with a more formal, softly-lit night spot. You get a wide array of drink options here: from original beers to guest taps, and wine (including wine slushies). The food menu focuses on tapas and sandwiches. On full display are oak barrels, aging some of the beers.
Holidaily Brewing

Holidaily Brewing

Do you have a gluten-free diet or just want to take a "holiday" from gluten while still enjoying great beer? Then you should definitely try Holidaily Brewing, a craft brewery 100% dedicated to producing gluten-free beers! Just west of North Table Mountain, this place has a beautiful natural setting--practically surrounded by foothills--with a back patio to savor the scenery. In place of malted barley, the brewer here uses millet and buckwheat. Food trucks are common--and as you would guess, they offer gluten-free menu items.
New Terrain Brewing Company

New Terrain Brewing Company

New Terrain bills itself as the brewery "For Those Who Wander." If you bike, hike, or drive just a bit off North Table Mountain, you're likely to wander straight into the expansive tasting room here. The beer menu up on the wall splits neatly into four categories: Light & Refreshing, Malty & Roasty, Bitter & Bright, and Now Exploring (which tends to feature sour and barrel-aged beers). The beer garden has beautiful views during the day and a fire-pit for enjoying the colder nights.

Highlands Ranch

3 Freaks Brewery

3 Freaks Brewery

Who are the 3 Freaks?, you may wonder. The brewer raised three kids who are one of a kind...and now he runs his own brewery built in that image. This is truly a neighborhood place, where you get to know your fellow freaks as you freak out responsibly on beers that are anything but tame. Brewing on a small system, 3 Freaks eagerly takes chances on experimental one-offs, such as The Peppermint Chocolate Porter, to complement their core lineup. The tasting room is both dog and kid-friendly. If you want to order in food, there's a restaurant next door ready to serve you.

Lakewood

Ironworks Brewery & Pub

Ironworks Brewery & Pub

If you didn't know any better, you'd think Ironworks was a regular bar. It has the look, the feel, the hours... not to mention the full bar, with hard liquor and macro beers. But the motto here speaks straight to craft beer lovers: "Beer So Fresh, You Have To Slap It!!!" Ironworks brews plenty of its own stuff to remind you this isn't just a bar. So sip on craft beer while you throw darts, play pool and video games, order some food and watch some football.
Great Frontier Brewing Company

Great Frontier Brewing Company

The initials for "Great Frontier" are a reference to Gluten Free. In addition to traditional and Gluten Reduced beers, this brewery also makes a few that are Gluten Free. This is a neighborhood style brewery: They focus on simple, straightforward styles--no frills, no gimmicks. Just good solid beers. For the Gluten Free and Gluten Reduced, they use sorghum (similar to molasses) instead of malted barley. They also like to blend their beers, upon request. For example, you can order a "Cocomocho," which is a mixture of the Mocha Stout and the Coconut Porter.
Westfax Brewing Company

Westfax Brewing Company

East Colfax Avenue has bubbled over with craft beer for quite awhile, but the birth of Westfax heralds a new era for beer lovers to rejoice on the other end of this famous street. Westfax opened in March, 2016, its beer menu brimming with variety and creativity. The tasting room has lots of colorful art and a very family-friendly atmosphere. A large dog-friendly patio beckons you outside with views toward the West.
LandLocked Ales

LandLocked Ales

If you're driving down Wadsworth Blvd, be sure to look for the big bright sign here, set off from the street somewhat and behind a few other businesses. Once you're inside LandLocked, you realize this place is unique because they feature beers that are relatively low in alcohol. Yes, they will make the occasional one-off that breaks this rule, but generally you can expect beers at or below 6% ABV. For a really original beer, try the Magic Carpet which is a blonde brewed with Jasmine tea leaves.
Old 121 Brewhouse

Old 121 Brewhouse

This place was designed to be exactly what it is: A craft brewery in the tradition of a good ole' Neighborhood Watering Hole. This means a lot of good things rolled into one: Approachable beers that are well-crafted and relatively low in ABV, a family-friendly environment that includes some non-booze options like iced teas and craft sodas, special events like movie night and live music. The "121" is a reference to Wadsworth Blvd, which is also State Highway 121... a local name for a brewery that's proud of its location!

Living The Dream Brewing Company

Sometimes, one will answer the question,"How are you doing?" with a sarcastic retort of,"Oh, just living the dream." Here, they're living their dream in Littleton, creating imaginative beers, and love being around the knowledgeable beer clientele in Colorado. From this sarcastic quip this brewery has built a taproom to serve up their dreams in a pint glass. Here, you'll also find experimentation into different styles (The Belgian Brune being a nice surprise), barrel aging, a biergarten in back with a great view of the mountains, and a mind on expanding into bottling their beers. Look for these bottles around the Denver metro area market.
Locavore Beer Works

Locavore Beer Works

To put meaning to the name "Locavore", it means someone who supports their local economy in every way. One should support this local craft beer establishment in Littleton, not just because it's local, but also because it's just making really good beer. When entering into this small shopping center, you're greeted with the signage "Craft Brewery" over the top of the entrance. Inside there's plenty of seating and all the brewing equipment can be seen in the open. You'll notice they experiment with barrel aging here which will always please the palette of any local. Plenty to choose from here with 16 taps of brew that should make any visitor or "Locavore" return many times over.

Lone Tree

Lone Tree Brewing Company

Lone Tree Brewing Company

Near two major freeways, this brewery is easy to get to. It appears rather small from the outside, but is actually quite spacious with a vast seating area adjacent to the bar and a large outdoor patio. The flagship beers cover a broad spectrum, and when you consider all the Seasonal and Limited Releases--such as a Black IPA, an ISB and a Kolsch--this brewery has a lot to offer. They even have a "Pints for the People" chalkboard where regulars "pay it forward" by crediting their friends with future drinks.

Northglenn

Periodic Brewing

Periodic Brewing

It started as "North America's highest craft brewery" because its original location is at an altitude of 10,156 feet in Leadville, Colorado. Fortunately, you can now access their awesome beers at about 5,000 feet, here in the northern suburbs of Denver. This location handles most of the production. The beers range from an easy-drinking Kolsch to seasonal offerings such as a Maple Bacon beer (a unique yeast strain creates the sensation of smoky bacon). The tasting room is designed to reflect this brewer's high-country roots: Skis adorn the walls, as do references to the periodic table of the elements...especially Pb which stands for Lead.

Westminster

Kokopelli Beer Company

Kokopelli Beer Company

This brewery has a family-friendly feel and a surprisingly diverse set of beers for a relatively small place. That's a total of 30 taps. There's also an in-house kitchen that makes appetizers, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, and desserts.

Wheat Ridge

Brewery Rickoli

Brewery Rickoli

The motto here is: "Brew small, drink big." And it makes sense. An intimate space with a local feel, Rickoli's really knows how to keep you on your toes. Ever try a beer that clocks in at 190 IBU? How about 420 IBU? OK, so you prefer malty, or light and crisp? They've got beers for you, too. All of their beers are gluten-removed. They also offer a few House Made Sodas and snacks made with some of their beers.
Colorado Plus Brew Pub

Colorado Plus Brew Pub

Colorado is a great beer state and this place proves it. Colorado Plus brews their own beer (up to 11 taps), plus their other taps are devoted to craft beer from Colorado breweries only. That means about 30-40 different breweries on any given day, spread among 56 taps -- all focused on Colorado. What makes this place even more unique is their kitchen. It serves up a great range of locally-sourced food: Appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and entrees.
